This Christmas, we’ll be there for London
It will mean the world to know you’re there for us too.
This Christmas just like every other day of the year, the pilots, paramedics, doctors and fire crew of London’s Air Ambulance, will be taking to the skies to saves lives like yours: the lives of ordinary, extraordinary people of London.
With your support this Christmas we can continue to be there for the 10 million people who live, work and travel in London, when they need us most.
Meet the crew
Dr Anna Dobbie
Anna is one of the Consultants with London’s Air Ambulance and is also the Clinical Lead for the service.
“Some of us are exceptionally fortunate to spend Christmas with our families... but it is so important to remember that patients are still injured every single day of the year. We are privileged in London to have the Air Ambulance Service who are there for us every single day and night of the year even at Christmas.”
Captain Neil Jeffers
Captain Neil Jeffers is chief pilot at London’s Air Ambulance. He has flown over 7,000 hours since he started flying in 1997 and has a 5,000-hour track record in instructing and examining.
"Christmas is a time to get together with family/friends. If I’m working on Christmas Day, the team split the responsibility to bring food, drinks (non-alcoholic!!) and nibbles. We usually attend at least one mission on Christmas Day.”
Paramedic Mike Palmer
Mike is a paramedic with London's Air Ambulance and previously, with the London Ambulance Service Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) and the Tactical Response Unit (TRU).
“To me, Christmas means hunting down all the Christmas trees around London to find my favourite, the more lights the better! And spending time with family and friends. This year I will be working on Christmas Day.”
“I wouldn’t be here without London’s Air Ambulance Charity”
Throughout the year, we attend on average five critically injured patients every day. People like Arj, who on one very ordinary-seeming afternoon in 2017, became one of those patients. Find out more about Arj’s story.
