Omaze's house that will raise funds for London's Air Ambulance Charity

London’s Air Ambulance Charity has been chosen by Omaze to be its charity partner and therefore recipient of funds raised by their next prize draw: securing the incredible minimum figure of £1 million for our Up Against Time appeal.

Omaze is an organisation that buys houses and raffles them off in aid of a charity. It works like a normal raffle, with tickets available for members of the public to purchase which then enter them into a draw to win the house at the end of the time period. People who win the house are free to do whatever they want with it – they can move in, rent it out or sell it, and they also win £250,000 to help them with any costs associated.

This is an amazing opportunity for London’s Air Ambulance Charity as we’re guaranteed to receive at least £1 million from the campaign and most likely more. The funds we receive through this will go directly to our Up Against Time appeal – for which the deadline to raise our £15 million target is September this year.

Jonathan Jenkins, Chief Executive of London’s Air Ambulance Charity, said: “Everyone at London’s Air Ambulance Charity is proud to be partnering with Omaze for the latest London House Draw. The backing of Omaze and its supporters is transformative as we look to secure the future of our service for years to come, in the midst of our largest-ever fundraising appeal.

“With only a few months left to reach our £15 million target, the Omaze community can make all the difference. Every ticket bought will help save lives across London every day, by directly funding two crucial new helicopters for London, ensuring that we can continue to be there whenever trauma strikes.”

The house is situated in Victoria Park and is Omaze’s biggest-ever house yet, worth over £5 million. The expansive four-bedroom property is recently renovated and includes a gym, games area and spa facilities. If you’d like to see more about the house and buy a ticket for the draw, please click here. The lucky winner will be announced at the end of July.

Omaze's shield, including London's Air Ambulance Charity's logoJames Oakes, Chief International Officer at Omaze, said: “Everyone at Omaze is thrilled to be partnering with London’s Air Ambulance Charity for our latest house draw. By offering this incredible property in London along with £250,000 in cash, Omaze is giving people the chance to win a life-changing prize that can enable them to live mortgage or rent free, as well as raising money for charities and introducing its charity partners to new audiences that they wouldn't otherwise reach at the same time. We’re immensely proud that the Omaze community has already raised over £43 million for good causes across the UK.”

We are also delighted to announce the backing of ex-England football captain David Beckham, who is supporting the partnership.

David BeckhamDavid said: “As a proud Londoner I know how vital London’s Air Ambulance Charity is. When a patient is critically injured in the capital they don’t have time to get to hospital. But London’s Air Ambulance can deliver expert medics to perform emergency surgery anywhere in the city within minutes. Now they need our support to reach their target to replace their two helicopters and make sure they can keep flying to save lives across London.

“I hope that people respond to this campaign so that everyone in our city knows that London’s Air Ambulance will be there if they need them.”

The money raised by the Omaze campaign will go directly towards our Up Against Time appeal – helping us replace our two aging helicopters and keep them flying for years to come. We’re so grateful to Omaze for selecting our charity and look forward to congratulating the winner of the house!
