2nd Jul 2014

At 9am on the 22 June, sixteen dedicated individuals lined up with several thousand others in Hackney Marsh to take part in the first ever Run Hackney half marathon event.

Aiming for the finish line in the iconic Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, our runners raised £10,750 in the process — vital funds that will go towards maintaining and enhancing our service.

Long running supporter Ocean Outdoor UK entered a team of runners, which included CEO Tim Bleakly. Individually Tim received £6,000 in sponsorship to complete his challenge.

Congratulations to all our runners and thank you to their sponsors and supporters on the day.  A fantastic achievement.
