The participants of our annual Golf Challenge enjoyed beautiful weather as they took part in a fourball at the picturesque Foxhills Club & Resort in Surrey this May. The tournament raised an incredible £20,000 for our charity and saw a team from ADS Painters and Decorators leave victorious.

There were also some fantastic prizes up for auction on the day, including two tickets to the ladies Wimbledon final, a Tottenham Hotspur signed football, a Tiffany bracelet, a Mont Blanc pen and much more. Our auctioneer this year was Lauren Moors, Director of Sports at St. John’s School in Surrey.

“All the players had a wonderful time and we were very lucky to have several generous sponsors, including DE Group, Environtec and O’Donovan Waste Disposal. A huge thank you to everyone who took part and raised such an impressive amount for a life-saving service,” said event organiser Brian Donnachie.

“I have personally been involved in this event since the first ever London’s Air Ambulance Golf Challenge in 2005. It’s been fantastic to see the event develop and grow into the success it is today.”

Christine Margetts, Community Development Manager at London’s Air Ambulance, said “over the past 12 years I’ve always looked forward to coming to Foxhills for our annual charity Golf Challenge.  We always receive a warm welcome and the club provides first-rate facilities for our participants.”

Les Strong, former footballer who played over 300 matches for Fulham FC., appeared as a Special Guest and talked about his experience as a professional footballer.

The day ended with the new CEO of London’s Air Ambulance Jonathan Jenkins presenting prizes to the winners.
