Sending in your fundraising money

 There are a number of ways to send in your vital fundraising money:

  1. Call us and make a card payment over the phone
    If you have collected cash, you can bank this into your own account and call our Supporter Care Team on 020 3023 3319.

     
  2. Send us a cheque
    Make sure cheques are payable to "London's Air Ambulance", you have popped your name and event on the back and put them in the post to: London's Air Ambulance, 5th Floor, 77 Mansell Street, London, E1 8AN. 

     
  3. Transfer the money via your personal bank account to the London's Air Ambulance bank account. 
    If you would to make a bank transfer to the London's Air Ambulance account, please contact our Supporter Care Team on 020 3023 3319 and we will be able to provide our account details. Please use your event name as the reference.

Make your donations go further with Gift Aid 

HMRC operates a scheme called Gift Aid that allows charities to claim the basic rate tax on every pound donated. So if you donated £100 to London's Air Ambulance, it means that you could actually be giving us £125.

We provide sponsorship forms in our fundraising pack. When asking your sponsors for donations, always remember to ask if they are eligible to Gift Aid their donation. If they are, you will both need to follow these simple steps to make sure the donation is eligible for Gift Aid. 

  • The donation must be made by an individual who pays UK tax income (income tax or capital gains tax) - you can also Gift Aid a donation from someone who is living abroad but still paying UK tax
  • You must include YOUR NAME and YOUR ADDRESS at the top of your sponsorship form. If we do not have this information, we cannot reclaim the Gift Aid on any of your fundraising
  • The donation must be made by an individual, not by a company or organisation
  • When the sponsor fills out the form, make sure to include their full name, home address including house number and postcode, total amount donated, the date the money was received and if eligible for Gift Aid they must tick the Gift Aid box

By filling out a Gift Aid declaration on the sponsorship form or online, your donation is worth 25% more. To find out more about Gift Aid, please visit gov.uk for more information.

How do I register for an event to fundraise for London's Air Ambulance?

You can sign up for a guaranteed place on one of our own events by visiting: www.londonsairambulance.org.uk/get-involved/events/. We have a limited number of places on events such as Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 and Royal Parks Half. If you’d like to organise your own event to raise vital funds for us, you can contact us directly using the below contact details: Julia Denton (Community Coordinator) – For events held in your community: bake sales, quiz nights, fetes. I’ve paid my registration fee for the event, what happens now?

Thank you for signing up to one of our events. You will receive confirmation by email of your place, followed by an email from one of our team with details about how to start your fundraising.

Why do I have to commit to a minimum fundraising target?

London's Air Ambulance has to invest in events to be able to offer places to our fundraisers, therefore we ask each participant to raise a minimum level of sponsorship if they subsequently take part in an event. Our targets have been set to ensure that we contribute as much of your money as possible to London's Air Ambulance's work. We know that committing to raise a specific amount can seem a bit daunting which is why we are here to help every step of the way. We have lots of experience with fundraising, and can give you some great advice, tips and fundraising materials to help you smash your target.

Is Gift Aid included in my sponsorship target?

London's Air Ambulance’s policy, like many other charities, is that Gift Aid is not included in sponsorship targets.

What happens if I cannot raise the full amount set as the minimum fundraising target for my chosen challenge?

We will work with you from the beginning to ensure that this doesn’t happen by providing you with fundraising tips, support and materials. If you are worried about not reaching the minimum, we would encourage you to speak to us as soon as possible – we’d hate for you to feel as though you haven’t got any support. We wouldn’t ever ask you to pay any shortfall of your sponsorship or stop you from taking part in your event. We would work together to help you raise as close to your target as possible. If you do not think that the minimum sponsorship is achievable before securing one of our places, we would suggest you try to secure your own place through the event ballot instead – that way you will just be asked to raise as much as possible.

I can no longer take part in the event, what should I do?

No matter the reason behind you not being able to take part in an event, please contact us as soon as possible. In some instances, we are able to release your place and offer this to another fundraiser. We will be happy to discuss next steps if you do withdraw from an event, including our donation refund policy and deferring your place.

Donation refund policy

As set out in our Terms & Conditions, all entry fees for events organised by London's Air Ambulance are non-refundable. If an activity organised by London's Air Ambulance is cancelled for any reason, London's Air Ambulance will, at your request, endeavor to refund any fee paid by you to London's Air Ambulance or to offer you a place for an alternative activity. 

For events with a minimum sponsorship target, we ask participants to pledge to raise the minimum amount set for the event. It is the aim of the challenge to raise as much above the minimum amount as possible in aid of London's Air Ambulance.

All funds donated towards your fundraising are made unconditionally and automatically belong to the charity regardless of whether or not the activity is completed. 

London's Air Ambulance will endeavor to defer a participant’s place on an event or source an alternative activity if the event is cancelled or the participant can no longer participate due to injury or illness. If the place cannot be deferred or a suitable alternative activity cannot be sourced, London's Air Ambulance will review individual refund claims case by case.
