On 4 June, we hosted our biannual gala at Raffles OWO London, where guests mingled with our doctors, paramedics and pilots, and learned firsthand about the work of the service. So far the evening has raised a phenomenal £1.5 million.
The event saw celebrities such as Liz Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus attend, high-profile names donate once-in-a-lifetime experiences as auction prizes and HRH The Prince of Wales, our patron, provide a foreword for the programme.
Every penny raised during this evening will contribute towards running our service; ensuring more families in the future, can have more moments together.
A true example of this was showcased during the evening, with Cameron – father to three year old Harrison – who shared their family’s personal experience of the service, when London’s Air Ambulance’s expert team attended to Harrison in 2025 after he’d been severely hit by a vehicle. Cameron said:
“Every single one of you has played such a vital role in restoring the future that we came so painfully close to losing. We owe a debt of gratitude that we will graciously carry with us for the rest of our lives. Our sincerest and heartfelt thanks to you all for supporting the London Air Ambulance Charity.”

With a critically injured patient needing the service’s advanced trauma care every four hours, the need for the service shows no sign of slowing down and is predicted to continue increasing. Jonathan Jenkins, our Chief Executive Officer, emphasised this in his evening’s speech. He said:
“We are enormously grateful to His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales for his continued patronage and heartfelt words of support, and to every guest, donor and supporter who joined us at the Black and White Gala. Demand for our service continues to grow and the generosity shown this evening will make a real and lasting difference to the patients and families who rely on us every day.”
With Mark-Francis Vandelli as the host, performances from Mica Paris and Hale Zero, a live auction and a moving pledge moment, the evening brought charity stakeholders and advocates together. With every mission of ours costing approximately £3,446, the event will ensure we can continue to be there for the patient of tomorrow.
Julia Leal Hartogs, Chair of the London’s Air Ambulance Charity Philanthropy Board, during the evening said: “Tonight was a powerful reminder of the impact we can have when we come together.
“The funds raised will help London’s Air Ambulance Charity continue delivering life-saving trauma care across the capital, giving critically injured patients the best possible chance of survival.
“A huge thank you to everyone who helped make it possible, from our attendees to our performers and everyone who donated a prize for our auction – including our fabulous auctioneer Lord Harry Dalmeny.”
