This September, volunteers and supporters of London’s Air Ambulance Charity will be taking to the streets in our annual ‘Big City Collection'. Our 2023 campaign raised over £27,000 and this year we hope our generous supporters will help us surpass this target!
We will be out and about in London, at train and tube stations, sporting events and local shopping outlets, raising vital funds to keep us flying.
We will be collecting cash and card donations at the following locations:

Join our Big City Collection!
Our Big City Collection is now in its third year and we need your help to make it bigger and better than ever before!
We will be joining forces with our supporters to run bucket collections across London in September with a special City of London collection day on Tuesday 24 September. You can support us by taking part in this fun event and helping us raise the vital funds needed to provide London with our advanced trauma service.
We cannot do it without you
The Big City Collection relies on the generosity of Londoners like you to give up a few hours and help us raise the funds needed to keep us flying. By supporting at a collection, you will play an important role in our biggest public fundraising event of the year.
We have shifts to suit everyone, from early risers covering the morning rush hour and lunchtime collections in bustling locations, to late afternoon timeslots as people head home.
As well as bucket collecting, we also have roles for photographers and administrators to help on the day.
What you will get out of it
- The chance to meet other volunteers, employees, corporate partners and supporters and work together to raise money for a great cause
- The opportunity to promote the work of London’s Air Ambulance Charity across London and speak to the public to raise money and awareness
- Time away from your usual day and have fun
We will support you all the way
- We will supply you with all the information you need and be on hand to answer any questions you may have. Nobody collects alone and we often partner you with an experienced collector or member of staff
- There will be an online briefing, information documents and a dedicated WhatsApp group
- You really will be part of the Big City Collection team every step of the way
Please email if you have any questions or would like to find out more information.
