Some Freemasons visiting London's Air Ambulance Charity's helipad

We are delighted to announce a significant milestone in our partnership with London Freemasons Charity. Thanks to the collective efforts of their members, they have successfully raised £1 million towards their ambitious £3 million pledge towards our Up Against Time appeal.

The partnership, launched in March 2023, aims to provide a fifth of the funding required to replace our ageing helicopter fleet in autumn 2024. The first helicopter is set to arrive in the UK on 12 December, with the second following in January, ready to be fit out with bespoke configurations to meet our operational requirements.

Sir Michael Snyder, leader of London Freemasons, said:

“We are all delighted to have got to this significant milestone, but we still need to raise the rest! However, I am utterly confident that we will: all London Freemasons are completely committed to our partnership with London’s Air Ambulance Charity to provide this vital emergency service for London.”

Jonathan Jenkins, CEO of London's Air Ambulance Charity, expressed gratitude for the remarkable progress made in just 10 months since the partnership's launch: “As a charity, we rely on public support for 96% of our income. Reaching £1 million is a testament to the incredible support and commitment of London Freemasons. This milestone brings us one step closer to our goal of ensuring we can remain in the skies and continue saving lives.”

The partnership with London Freemasons Charity is a demonstration of their long-standing support for our life-saving work in the capital. Their generous contributions have played a pivotal role in ensuring we can maintain our vital 27/7 service and respond within minutes to treat London’s most seriously injured.
