22 May 2025

We’re excited to announce that we’ve been selected as the Mayoral Charity for 2025–26 by Councillor Tom Bennett, the newly elected Mayor of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
Councillor Bennett, who was appointed at the Council’s Annual General Meeting on 21 May 2025, will work closely with London’s Air Ambulance Charity to raise awareness and vital funds to help our unique team of doctors, paramedics, pilots and fire crew be there for London.
Last year, London’s Air Ambulance attended to 2,058 patients across London, including 43 in the borough of Kensington and Chelsea. This was our busiest year on record, but our team continue to bring complex medical procedures to the scene, to save lives where others can’t. With the support of Londoners, and the Mayor of Kensington and Chelsea, we will continue to bring hope to someone on their worst day.
Jonathan Jenkins, our CEO, said: “We are incredibly grateful to Mayor Tom Bennett for selecting us as his Mayoral Charity. This support arrives at a crucial moment, as we continue our work to transform the future of pre-hospital care in London.
“The people of this city are our greatest asset and their continued support helps us bring pre-hospital care to the roadside, save more lives and shape the future of trauma medicine, here in London and around the world.”
Our vision is to bring hope to every patient across London when they need us most, where they need us most. Our mission is to use everything we know – our specialist skills, unmatched experience and pioneering spirit – to save lives and deliver the best possible outcomes for every patient. If you’re interested in doing some fundraising, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our team on [email protected].
Councillor Tom Bennett, Mayor of Kensington and Chelsea, said: "I am proud to be working with London’s Air Ambulance Charity as the Mayoral Charity for the upcoming year: through their enormous skill and heroism they have saved numerous lives in Kensington and Chelsea, and across London, and I hope to further raise awareness of them and support their amazing work.”
