In November 2025, our team – who perform innovative and complex medical procedures on scene to save lives where others can’t – treated 153 patients.
Assault and transport-related injuries both resulted in 28 patients (18 per cent each). Falls resulted in 26 patients (17 per cent), medical-related injuries 24 patients (16 per cent) and accidents 20 (13 per cent). There were also 27 patients (18 per cent) who had other or unknown injuries, which include burns and industrial incidents.
Treating these patients involved administering complex medical care at the roadside, including 39 arterial lines, 27 rapid sequence intubations, 12 blood transfusions and more potentially life-saving procedures.
Once the patient is stabilised on scene, they’re usually transported to the nearest major trauma centre by road ambulance.
Forty four of our patients this month were taken to The Royal London Hospital (39.6 per cent), 34 were taken to St Mary’s Hospital (30.6 per cent), 25 to King’s College (22.5 per cent) and four to St George’s (3.6 per cent). No patients were flown back to hospital during this month – this is not our primary role on scene.
We can reach anywhere with the M25 in 11 minutes and serve all of London’s boroughs as and when we’re needed. In November, Islington was the most attended borough, followed by Lambeth and Westminster.
Traumatic injury is the biggest killer of people under 40 in the UK – but on the worst day of someone’s life, our medics can provide hope. However we’re a charity – we can only be here for London with your support. Donate today to help ensure we can be there for the patient of tomorrow.
