As part of ‘The Big Lift’ this week, 17 Waitrose stores across London are hosting collections to support our final push for our ‘Your London, Your Helicopter’ campaign for a second helicopter.

Staff from each of the branches all over London, including Canary Wharf, Oxford Street and High Street Kensington, will be welcoming donations from members of the public every day, 7am-7pm, until Friday 25th September.

‘The Big Lift’ takes place this week during National Air Ambulance Week 21-27 September 2015, when communities across the UK rally behind their local air ambulances. The Waitrose collections are one of many fundraising events where our doctors, paramedics, pilots, staff and volunteers will be rolling up their sleeves to attend community collections all over London.

Mark Davies, Director of Development at London's Air Ambulance said: “We are very grateful to everyone who is supporting us this week — whether it is helping at a collection or holding an event. It is through the continued support of our tireless fundraisers and the generous donations from the public that we are able to help critically injured people in London.”

Find out where you can find all of the collections taking place across London this week here, or donate online to help us secure the remaining amount — just under £2 million — still needed to support a second helicopter and extend our daylight flying hours for five years.
