11th Feb 2016

In celebration of Shrove Tuesday, 20 teams took part in the Great Spitalfields Pancake Race organized by Alternative Arts to raise funds for our charity. Teams of four raced up and down Dray Walk at The Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane suitably dressed up, or down, tossing pancakes on the way. The E Team Clowns kept control of the crowds and the Lost Marbles String Band provided a melodious soundtrack.

Winners - NFP Victory
Runners Up — London’s Air Ambulance
Best Dressed Team — Firebox
Best Behaved Team — The Farm Fatales

Great prizes were generously given by local firms including a £50 bar voucher from Big Chill, CD collection from Rough Trade, and lots of lovely jewellery from Tatty Devine and every team entrant received a hot pancake from the Hungarian Creperie after the race.
