We were thrilled to welcome Graham Taylor and his daughter Sharon Wilkins, from Essex, to our helipad this week, after Graham scooped the top prize of £1,000 in our weekly lottery.

As a charity, we rely on fundraising to help us to deliver our service which costs £10 million to run per year. The lottery provides us with a vital source of regular income and offers players the chance to win £1,000 each week.

Graham was encouraged to sign up for the weekly lottery by our volunteer canvassers who visited him at his home.

Commenting on his visit Graham said;  “I had a brilliant time, the highlight of the visit was seeing the helicopter so close and meeting the crew.”

Sharon learnt about our service from her father. She signed up to the lottery as “London’s Air Ambulance is a fabulous cause that saves lives”.

Sharon said the highlight of her trip was; “Seeing the helicopter return from a mission and learning more about the trauma work the teams do on the ground.”

Jonathan Jenkins, CEO of London’s Air Ambulance said:

“Thank you to Graham and Sharon for supporting our charity in our weekly lottery draw. We are very grateful for the support from all of our Lottery Members.  As a charity, we rely on donations to provide London with an advanced trauma team for critically injured patients 24/7. The vital contribution from our lottery players helps us provide patients with the best possible care, when they need it most."

We currently have over 45,000 active players and the lottery has contributed an incredible £2.5 million to the charity since it was set up in 2007.

Draws take place every week and each entry costs £1.  Our top weekly prize is £1,000, with a second prize of £50.  There are also five runner up prizes of £10.

If you are interested in helping us raise more money so that we can carry on providing a 24/7 service for all those who live, work and travel in London, whilst also being in with a chance of winning £1000, please consider signing up today.
