A London’s Air Ambulance supporter visited our helipad last week in celebration of winning our lottery.

Antony Leslie from Romford scooped the top prize of £1,000 in our weekly draw, which raises vital funds each year for the charity. He is one of the 38,000 hopefuls across London who donate to the charity to be in with a chance of winning a cash prize.

Mr Leslie, who was accompanied by his wife Susan to the helipad, said: “I couldn’t believe it when I got the call from London’s Air Ambulance saying that I had won. I drive an articulated lorry and have a colleague who had an unfortunate accident in his own once. This made me realise why it is so vital for London to have the service of the charity.”

Mark Davies, Director of Development from London’s Air Ambulance said: “Our lottery members generate vital funds that help us provide patients with the best possible care when they urgently need it. Every second counts in an emergency, as does every donation. We are hugely grateful to our lottery members for their support.”

Antony and his wife have already booked a holiday to Somerset and will be using their winnings to help fund this.

Draws are made weekly, and each entry costs £1 per week. Players can win £10, £50 or £1,000. Top prize winners are also given the opportunity to take in the London skyline from the roof of The Royal London Hospital, which our distinctive red helicopter sits on top of. By taking part in our lottery, you too could be a winner one day.
