We were delighted to welcome Leslie Camfield from Essex and Pamela Hall from Greenwich to our helipad this week, after they both scooped the top prize of £1000 in our weekly lottery.

As a charity, we rely on fundraising to help us deliver our service, which costs £8.7 million per year.  The lottery provides us with a vital source of regular income, whilst also offering players the chance to win £1000 each week.

Leslie was encouraged to sign up to our weekly lottery draw by our volunteer canvassers who visited his home.  He chose to support London's Air Ambulance because “it saves lives”.

Pamela and Leslie were presented with their cheque next to our G-LNDN aircraft on a very cold and cloudy day.

Despite the weather Leslie enjoyed his visit, commenting;

“The highlight was seeing the helicopter in person and learning more about the charity itself”.

Pamela has been supporting our charity since we attended an incident in her community and said ‘’It is a vital service for London”.

Pamela said the highlight of her trip was;

“Seeing the aircraft and meeting the team who work so hard to save lives”.

We currently have over 45,000 active players and the lottery has contributed an incredible £2.5 million to the charity since it was set up.

Draws take place every week and each entry costs £1.  Our top weekly prize is £1,000, with a second prize of £50.  There are also five runner up prizes of £10.

If you are interested in helping us raise more money so that we can carry on providing a 24/7 service for all those who live, work and travel in London, and also having a chance to win £1000, please consider signing up today.
