On 3rd September MPs and Peers attended the London's Air Ambulance Reception in the House of Commons to demonstrate their support for our charity. The event was hosted by Mary Macleod, Brentford & Isleworth MP, and Rushanara Ali, Bethnal Green & Bow MP — key supporters of the charity.

A group of over 20 ex-patients were there to share their stories and some had the opportunity to meet their local MP.  Guests were invited to try their hand at open-heart surgery, inserting a balloon to control bleeding and setting up a roadside blood transfusion.

Speaking about the House of Commons event Chief Executive of London’s Air Ambulance, Graham Hodgkin said: “We greatly appreciate the support of those who took time out of their hectic political schedules to acknowledge the work we do, and will continue to do, for the benefit of those living, working or travelling in the Capital.

“Our mission is to provide our patients with the world’s most innovative and effective pre-hospital care. By raising awareness of our aims and activities, both inside and outside of Westminster, our political stakeholders can help us to achieve this goal and contribute to more lives saved.”
