10 Oct 2016

The collection buckets from National Air Ambulance Week (19 - 25 September) have now all been emptied and counted and a staggering £13.301.53 has been raised.

Thank you to the hundreds of volunteers across London who fundraised tirelessly for us and did their utmost to help us raise awareness about the fact that we are a charity.

We are so grateful to everyone in London who donated for their generosity. Thank you also to all those who wore their pin badge to help us raise awareness of our cause.

Our new helicopter pin badges were sold in local shops, schools and at petrol stations across the capital. You can still get your helicopter pin badge for a £1 suggested donation.

Supporters weren’t just out on the streets for us — they were all over social media too. A 'thought of the day' scribbled on a board at the Earl's Court tube station by one of our volunteers generated an unprecedented level of engagement on Facebook. Shared and liked by thousands of people, it has become an unexpected star of the National Air Ambulance Week.

Thank you also to all who helped us by sharing our new ‘Help From Above’ campaign on social media. Our gratitude also goes to our corporate partner Ocean Outdoor who kindly donated advertising space on their spectacular digital screens across London for the campaign. Thanks to Ocean Outdoor's generosity, the campaign continues to be shown outdoor beyond National Air Ambulance Week. See where you can still spot 'Help From Above'.

Thank you all for making National Air Ambulance 2016 such a success!

We are already looking forward to celebrating with you next year :)
