In May 2011 Emma Piper was hit by a car.  She has made a miraculous recovery and in November 2011 came to the Helipad with her Mum, Dad and sisters to visit Dr Neil Slabbert and Paramedic, Mike Bradfield, who flew to her aid.   Other members of the team who were working the day of Emma's accident were pilots Neil Jeffers and Johnny Crewsdon and Chief Fire Officer John Power who Emma also got to meet.  It was lovely to have Emma up on the pad with us.  It is great for the team who see their patients when they are very sick to see them doing so well.   We have also secured a new Doctor for the future with Emma's 6 year old sister expressing an interest.
