Get in training for Shrove Tuesday and join in the Great Spitalfields Pancake Race in aid of London’s Air Ambulance.

Shrove Tuesday 4th March 2014

at 12.30pm

Dray Walk, Old Truman Brewery
Brick Lane, E1 6QL

All you need to get together is a team of four people suitably dressed up (or down) to enter in the relay race. Bring your own frying pan and we'll provide the pancakes. The race will be run along Dray Walk at The Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane and all you have to do is toss the pancake a couple of times en route. The heats will start at 12.30pm followed by the finals and the prize giving. The winners will receive Cath Kidston baking essentials and a beautifully engraved frying pan! And there will be prizes for the runners up, the best dressed team and the best behaved team.

Music by the Lost Marbles String Band and clowns provided by the E Team will all lend to the atmosphere of this highly entertaining, eccentric occasion. Prizes include Cath Kidston baking essentials; aprons, oven gloves, mixing bowls, tea towels and utensils. Hot Pancakes will be provided by Csaba’s Hungarian Creperie.

The event is being organised by ALTERNATIVE ARTS in aid of our charity.
