Join The Great Spitalfields Pancake Race on Shrove Tuesday and raise funds for us. Teams of four, suitably dressed up (or down) will gather to compete for the honour of becoming this year’s race champions when they run up and down Dray Walk at the Old Truman Brewery. Free to enter, teams are instead invited to get themselves sponsored or make a donation to help us save more lives in London.

The heats start at 12.30pm followed by the finals and prize giving. The winners will receive a specially engraved frying pan and there will also be prizes for the runners up, the best dressed team and the best behaved team, plus a free hot pancake for every entrant. Prizes this year include Champagne, jewellery by Tatty Devine, a cookery book by Making Music, £50 voucher from the Big Chill, coffee & cakes at Café 1001, something special from Rough Trade Records, an item of furniture from Salt & Pegram, boxes of sweets and friendly hugs.
Music from The Lost Marbles String Band and the E-Team Clowns will contribute to this highly entertaining occasion and pancakes will be available from Csaba’s Hungarian Creperie.
