We will be tweeting #YourHelicopterLive as part of our 'Your London, Your Helicopter' campaign to raise money for a second emergency medical helicopter for London.
We treat on average five critically injured patients every 24 hours in London, using the helicopter by day and rapid response cars at night or in adverse weather conditions. In between missions followers can meet the crew, ask them questions and learn about different parts of our life-saving operations.
In our largest ever fundraising drive, the ‘Your London, Your Helicopter’ campaign is hoping to raise £6 million, of which £2.1 million is still needed, to acquire and sustain a second helicopter and extend our daylight flying hours for five years.
Please note, we will not comment on a patient’s care and, due to sensitivities around the types of trauma incidents we attend, will be limited on incident specific details that we can provide.
