This National Air Ambulance Week 160 daring fundraisers took the plunge off the side of The Royal London Hospital for our annual helipad abseil. Aiming to raise £100k, these thrill-seekers harnessed-up from 13th to 15th September to support our charity, with a further 70 due to go over the edge soon.

The event began on Wednesday morning when Dr Hilary Jones abseiled off the tallest helipad in Europe live on Lorraine. The next day TV presenters Helen Fospero and Tim Vincent followed in his footsteps to descend 305ft and officially open the event.

So far our abseilers have raised an astounding £95k and are well on the way to reaching our £100k target. This has been our biggest abseil yet and we’d like to take this opportunity thank everyone who has supported and taken part in the event.

Due to the recent incident at Parsons Green and the terror threat being raised from severe to critical, we had to postpone the abseil due to take place on 16th September. We are currently planning an alternative date and are grateful to all our fundraisers for their understanding. Please contact Caroline at [email protected] if you have any enquiries.
