In the early hours of Sunday the 31st of July, cyclists were saddling up ready to tackle the 100 mile route of the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100. Clad in their London's Air Ambulance cycling jerseys, 48 of them took on the challenge to raise vital funds for us.

Representing London's Air Ambulance were 10 novice cyclists from Foxtons, current sponsor of our 2nd helicopter. James Cotton, Notting Hill Office Valuer (the fastest in Team Foxtons) said: “We had an absolutely incredible time yesterday — we loved every minute of it and felt so proud to be racing for London’s Air Ambulance!”

Support also came from our operational team — pilot Andy Thomson, Dr Will McGuinness, Dr Tom Evens, Dr Ali Sanders, paramedics Mike Casizzi, Nathan Ward & Steve Read all swapped the helicopter for two wheels on Sunday.

Fundraising is expected to exceed £25,000 in the upcoming weeks. Thank you to all who took part as well as those who sponsored their friends, family or colleagues. Our work simply wouldn’t be possible without you.
