London’s Air Ambulance has once again featured in a ground-breaking medical documentary that goes behind the scenes of London’s major trauma system.

In June 2023, our advanced trauma team attended to 171 critically injured patients in London. We serve the whole area within the M25 365 days a year, 24/7 and can arrive by helicopter within 11 minutes. During this month, the most visited boroughs were Brent, Camden and Southwark.

Throughout Friday 4 August, BBC London hosted a live news broadcast from London’s Air Ambulance Charity’s helipad, atop The Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel.

In February 2021, 17-year-old James was testing out his mother’s push bike when masked men attacked him for no reason, knocked him off the bike and stabbed him multiple times.

In June 2023, Mike Hancock completed the South West Coast Path to raise vital funds for London’s Air Ambulance Charity, SWC Path Charity and RNLI. His impressive trek resulted in over £4,500 being donated to our service.

At the beginning of the 2022/23 school year, the school council at John Betts Primary School in Hammersmith chose London’s Air Ambulance Charity as their charity for the year.

Last month, on 09 June 2023, Suzanne Pressman, climbed a mountain in Morocco’s Atlas Mountains range in memory of her son David. She and her friend Sharon Bennett took on the challenge to raise money for London’s Air Ambulance Charity, who attended her 17 year old son after a motorcycle accident six years ago on 14 July 2017.
