A London’s Air Ambulance supporter visited our helipad last week in celebration of winning our lottery, which raises vital funds each year.

Jo-Anne Humphries, from Worcester Park in Sutton, scooped the top prize of £1,000 in the weekly draw. This is the second time that Jo-Anne has won the top prize and she is the first person ever to win our lottery more than once.

She is one of the 39,000 hopefuls across London who donate to us to be in with a chance of winning a cash prize. Draws are made weekly, and each entry costs £1 per week. Players can win £10, £50 or £1,000. There have been over 2,000 winners since the lottery started in 2007. Top prize winners are also given the opportunity to take in the London skyline from the roof of The Royal London Hospital, which our red helicopter sits on top of.

Jo-Ann was accompanied to the London’s Air Ambulance helipad by work friends. She said: “I decided to join the lottery after seeing a stand in my local supermarket. I work in recruitment for the NHS so I am very aware of the superb work that London’s Air Ambulance does.

“The helipad visit was tremendous, I’ve been to The Shard before but being able to see London in a 360 degree view without windows or barriers was phenomenal. I found the experience very informative too.”

Mark Davies, Director of Development from London’s Air Ambulance said: “Our lottery members generate vital funds that help us provide patients with the best possible care when they urgently need it. Every second counts in an emergency, as does every donation. We are hugely grateful to our lottery members for their support.”

By taking part in the London's Air Ambulance lottery, you too could be a winner one day.
