Nunsense

Hillingdon’s Pastiche Musical Theatre will be raising money for London’s Air Ambulance Charity with their performance of Nunsense; an international phenomenon and the second longest running show in Off-Broadway history.

Airing five performances over 5-8 October 2022 – which was originally supposed to hit the stage in March 2020 – the Pastiche community group will tell the story of a tuneful group of nuns who put on their own fundraiser event.

“It’s a show within a show, that reveals various hidden talents,” described Dan Cox, Pastiche’s Musical Director. “Getting back on stage after all this time away has been brilliant. After beginning the show and being days away from performing it in March 2020, we’ve been desperate to finish what we started and raise money for London’s Air Ambulance Charity.”

In February 2020, Dan and some of the Pastiche community members visited our advanced trauma team at our helipad, on top of The Royal London Hospital.

“Having visited you, on a wet and windy morning, we were blown away – no pun intended – by what you do. You gave us the inspiration to finish the show!

“Having seen the amazing work you do with no funding, we all wanted to do our bit and raise funds for London’s Air Ambulance Charity.”

A few months ago, the Pastiche Musical Theatre promoted Nunsense and London’s Air Ambulance Charity at a village festival in Ickenham.

“It was great to get out and promote the show and the air ambulance. The Mayor of Hillingdon was there and she was very keen to see what we’re up to. She whole heartedly supports our fundraising efforts for London’s Air Ambulance Charity, as Hillingdon clearly benefits from what you do.”

We’re so grateful to Pastiche’s fundraising efforts and cannot wait to see the show. If you’d like to join us at one of the performances, buy your tickets now!
