At London’s Air Ambulance Charity, we spoke to two paramedics, David O’Toole and Keiren Rodwell, who have recently begun their 12-month secondment with our service from London Ambulance Service.

On 9 June, Strictly Come Dancing star Katya Jones and Team GB’s Winter Olympian Aimee Fuller together abseiled down the side of The Royal London Hospital in London’s Air Ambulance Charity’s annual event. The duo had recently appeared on Channel 4’s Celebrity Hunted and together decided to join our fundraisers, volunteers and crew at our helipad abseil.

In his back garden in Eltham on a sunny Sunday in May 2023, Matt attempted to clear a pool table 100 times by himself to raise money for London’s Air Ambulance Charity. “I had the idea of clearing the table 100 times, which is 1,500 balls, so I set my fundraising target as £1,500,” said Matt.

In April 2023, London’s Air Ambulance’s advanced trauma team attended to 169 patients in London. Each individual was critically injured and did not have time to make it to hospital, so our crew were dispatched; bringing the emergency department to the roadside.
