Richard Stead

I am a Consultant Anaesthetist at the William Harvey Hospital in Kent. I have previously worked for Sydney HEMS and am delighted to have the opportunity to work for London’s Air Ambulance. Away from work I enjoy training for a variety of sporting events, which have been known to occur in close proximity to a family holiday.

I come from a background of surf lifesaving for the RNLI where I worked along the South Coast for 6 seasons before starting my paramedic degree at Oxford Brookes University in 2014.

Since joining the LAS I have worked on Dual Crewed Ambulances, Fast Response Units and in the Clinical Hub. I have been on the Tactical Response Unit since 2019.
