Imen joined London’s Air Ambulance Charity in September 2026 as Clinical Programme Lead within the Institute of Pre-Hospital Care. She brings experience across acute and critical care, clinical education, healthcare strategy and programme development.

Iara Sousa

Iara is passionate about making sure every supporter has a positive experience with us. She leads the day-to-day work of the Supporter Care team, line managing our Supporter Care Coordinators and helping them deliver warm, timely and thoughtful communications to our incredible supporters.

Alongside supporting and developing the team, Iara is always looking for ways to improve our processes, systems, and supporter journeys, working with colleagues across the organisation to make Supporter Care as effective and supporter focused as possible.

I started my career with the London Ambulance Service in 2010, partly inspired by the loss of a very close friend who was a victim of knife crime. From the very beginning of my career, I had an ambition to one day work for London’s Air Ambulance — something my closest friends will happily attest to.
