Jonathan Jenkins

After a distinguished career in the city, Jonathan comes to London’s Air Ambulance Charity from Social Investment Business, where he dealt with charity and social enterprise investment as the company’s CEO. He has a lifelong commitment to charity work, and has served as trustee for a number of third sector organisations. In his spare time he has also managed to run 12 London Marathons and the 2016 & 2018 Marathon des Sables, raising vital funds for London’s Air Ambulance Charity in the process.

Charles Newitt

Charles joined London’s Air Ambulance Charity at the beginning of August 2014 as the charity’s first Chief Operating Officer. He is responsible for aviation, helipad operations, finance & HR. He is the charity’s Air Operations Certificate (AOC) Accountable Manager and it is in this capacity that Charles assumes responsibility for all aspects of our aviation function, ensuring our compliance with the UK and European regulatory frameworks.

Dr Tom Hurst

Tom is a consultant in pre-hospital care with London’s Air Ambulance and consultant in intensive care medicine at King’s College Hospital. He has been actively involved in pre-hospital care since first working for London’s Air Ambulance in 2008.

Anna Bennett

Anna joins the charity as Director of Finance, IT and Facilities.

With more than 20 years' experience in financial leadership, Anna is a Chartered Accountant (FCA) and holds the ICAEW Diploma in Charity Accounting. She has worked for several national charities, including as Finance Director for Hospice UK and as Director of Finance and Operations for BBC Children in Need.

Katie McIntyre

Following work in Private Equity recruitment, Katie joins LAAC as the People Coordinator, drawing upon previous HR experience in global manufacturing. An Exeter History graduate, she played lots of tennis, frequented local Devon and Cornish beaches, and solo travelled around South Africa post studies. CIPD qualified and seeking a career in HR and People Management, she is looking forward to driving lifesaving change in the Charity sector at London’s Air Ambulance Charity.

Toby Chamberlain

Senior First Officer Toby Chamberlain started flying helicopters near New York, USA in 2009. Returning to the UK, Toby operated on a number of different helicopter types as an Instructor, Examiner and Charter Pilot. He has flown HEMS for the last few years in various parts of the UK, prior to joining the team at London's Air Ambulance.

Outside of flying for London's Air Ambulance, Toby enjoys spending as much time with his young family as possible and travelling when time permits.
