James Wookey

After qualifying as a Paramedic in Australia in 2013, I was recruited by the London Ambulance Service in 2016 and immigrated to the UK to pursue my career goal of working in pre-hospital critical care.

I have undertaken numerous secondments with the LAS, which has inspired a keen interest in how Ambulance service can improve patient care by developing their clinicians and systems.

When not on secondment, I am a Clinical Team Manager at Waterloo Ambulance station and a part time Incident Response Officer.

David OToole

I joined London Ambulance Service in 2012 as an apprentice paramedic, eventually qualifying as a paramedic in 2017. I worked on ambulances and response cars in north London before joining the Tactical Response Unit in 2021.

It has always been my ambition to join London’s Air Ambulance. I am very proud to be part of a team that is so passionate about delivering the best possible care for trauma patients in London.

Jesal Joshi

"I joined the London Ambulance Service in 1994 and qualified as a paramedic in 1997. My first placement with London’s Air Ambulance was between 2006-2008 and it was an amazing and rewarding experience - I was thrilled to be invited back to be part of the team as one of the experienced paramedic cohort.

Everyone involved with London’s Air Ambulance is dedicated and motivated to providing gold standard pre-hospital care. Away from work I enjoy spending time with my wife, two sons and dog, playing football and watching any number of sports on TV!"
