Emma Butterfield
Emma is a registrar in Intensive Care Medicine in London. She has also worked for LifeFlight in Queensland, Australia, and East Anglian Air Ambulance, and in Latin America and Africa.
Her research and education interests are in humanitarian medicine, particularly in conflict and disaster, developing effective pre-hospital care in low-resource settings. To this end, she collaborates with the Paediatric Blast Injury Partnership and the Explosive Weapons Trauma Care Collective, leading trauma training and quality improvement initiatives.
