On 7th November, Lloyds Development Capital held its annual charity quiz. The London branch of the global private equity specialist raised £33,000, an incredible amount to raise from one night and a £5,000 increase on last year’s total. The thirty six teams participating in the event met Dr Julian Thompson, Executive Director of London’s Air Ambulance and ex patient Kim Bowler, who shared her personal experience with the guests attending.

From the Lifetime Achievement Award for Dr Gareth Davies to the Pilot of the Year for Neil Jeffers, London’s Air Ambulance celebrated its success at the Association of Air Ambulance Awards of Excellence 2013. The charity that delivers an advanced trauma team to critically injured people in London collected four key awards yesterday at a ceremony that recognised the individual achievements of professionals from the air ambulance industry nationwide.

Six children are transformed into Hero Squad Cadets and undergo a training alongside Medical Director of London’s Air Ambulance, Dr Gareth Davies. In a training scenario, they respond within minutes to treat a person who has fallen from scaffolding. Watch CBBC on Wednesday 6th November at 5.30pm.

London’s Air Ambulance, the charity that delivers an advanced trauma team to critically injured people in London, is the proud winner of the ‘Outstanding Contribution to London’ award in the London Lifestyle Awards 2013. This recognition comes shortly after the service reached a milestone in treating 30,000 patients. Due to celebrate its 25th anniversary in January 2014, the charity provides the only advanced trauma service available to the 10 million people who live, work and commute within London’s M25.

London’s Air Ambulance has reached a significant milestone in treating 30,000 trauma patients since it began in 1989.  Thanks to the generous support of the London community, our charity has been able to save the lives of many people with time-critical medical interventions delivered at the scene of the incident.

London’s Air Ambulance, the Charity which runs London’s only Helicopter Emergency Medical Service, is pleased to announce that it has signed a unique research and collaboration agreement with the Norwegian Air Ambulance.

This agreement formalises the existing strong links between two long established providers of physician-led pre-hospital care. Both organisations are committed leaders in the field of quality improvement in pre-hospital care and place research and development high on their agendas.
