To celebrate International Firefighters’ Day, we spoke to Mark Drewitt, one of the five fire crew at London’s Air Ambulance. Here, he tells us what it’s like to be part of the London’s Air Ambulance crew, and how he found himself working on top of Europe’s tallest helipad.

Andy became part of the team at London’s Air Ambulance Charity in 2022 and oversees the charity’s engagement with political stakeholders and the media. He joined the charity after a spell working in campaigns and public affairs for the Charities Aid Foundation following several years as a political consultant.
Libby Hogger
Libby is a designer at London’s Air Ambulance Charity and is responsible for creating engaging and eye-catching content for teams across the charity and the frontline service. She joined in in April 2022 after working at several design agencies creating a vast range of projects for charities, local businesses, as well as worldwide companies like Ford. This has led her to develop a broad knowledge of branding, digital design, and print production, which she now showcases at London’s Air Ambulance Charity - a charity close to her family’s heart.
