London’s Air Ambulance Charity has been chosen by Omaze to be its charity partner and therefore recipient of funds raised by their next prize draw: securing the incredible minimum figure of £1 million for our Up Against Time appeal.

Stuart Fitch

Stuart has been in aviation all his working life - first flying solo on his 17th birthday. He learnt to fly in the Royal Air Force and comes to London's Air Ambulance Charity as Director of Operations after 20 years working for another aviation charity, Mission Aviation Fellowship. He has spent several years living and working in a number of countries as a pilot, flight instructor and aviation manager.

Jade Stapleton

Jade is responsible for people and organisational development at London’s Air Ambulance. Her remit includes everything from recruitment to the contracts and policies that underpin our work. She also leads on developing our people and culture, working with everyone across the organisation to create an environment that supports our values and encourages behaviours that make us a great place to work.

Sophie Shrimpton

Sophie works with individual supporters to fund London’s Air Ambulance’s life-saving services and medical research. She manages the Innovation Circle; a group of passionate individuals, family foundations and trusts who support the Charity with an annual gift of £5,000. Sophie began her fundraising career in the arts, raising money for the world-renowned Shakespeare’s Globe.

Dr Arran Keir

I am a consultant anaesthetist based in Glasgow with a specialist interest in trauma, pre-hospital, and retrieval medicine. My career has taken me across the globe, including time working in South Africa and New Zealand. Alongside my role with London’s Air Ambulance, I also work as a consultant with the Emergency Medical Retrieval Service (EMRS) in Scotland.

Hannah Biffen

Hannah is responsible for managing the charity’s in-memory and in-celebration fundraising, alongside our collection pots programme. She has worked in the charity sector in both community and events fundraising for over nine years.

Katie Vallis

"I joined the London Ambulance Service in 2007 as an Emergency Call Handler and moved to operations in 2008. I have undertaken various secondments across the trust including working on the Clinical Support Desk and Cycle Response Unit. When not on secondment, I work as a Clinical Team Manager (CTM) based out of St Helier. 

Working with London’s Air Ambulance has been an ambition of mine for many years. I feel honoured to be part of a high performing team, delivering the best care to London’s most critically injured patients."

Claudia Chalmers

Claudia is responsible for supporting the Special Events programme, and producing quality and high profile fundraising and cultivation events for a Partnership and Philanthropy audience. Her role focuses on delivering a calendar of small special events, including bespoke evenings for our Innovation Circle members, donor led events and corporate partnership launches.

She joined London’s Air Ambulance Charity in 2024 having previously worked at St John Ambulance, Dulwich Picture Gallery & Southbank Centre, and is on the committee for Queen’s Park Book Festival.
