I joined London Ambulance Service in 2012 as an apprentice paramedic, eventually qualifying as a paramedic in 2017. I worked on ambulances and response cars in north London before joining the Tactical Response Unit in 2021.
It has always been my ambition to join London’s Air Ambulance. I am very proud to be part of a team that is so passionate about delivering the best possible care for trauma patients in London.
Anna is our Director of Finance, IT and Facilities.
With more than 20 years' experience in financial leadership, Anna is a Chartered Accountant (FCA) and holds the ICAEW Diploma in Charity Accounting. She has worked for several national charities, including as Finance Director for Hospice UK and as Director of Finance and Operations for BBC Children in Need.
Kirsty helps challenge event fundraisers get the most of out of their experience, from supporting them while they train and find sponsors, to cheering them on the event day. She communicates with them throughout their experience, educating them about the charity and encouraging their fundraising.
Captain Sam Tompkins started flying in 2003 and has been flying air ambulances across the country since 2013. Before he started flying, Sam worked as an Emergency Ambulance Technician in the Southwest. Outside of work Sam is passionate about music, playing guitar in a local band and hosting a community radio show.
Dan is an Advanced Paramedic Practitioner in Critical Care with the London Ambulance Service. He undertook his initial secondment to London’s Air Ambulance in 2012, worked as part of the Emeritus team and now returns as an Experienced HEMS Paramedic. Dan has also worked as a Clinical Team Leader and Training Officer during his career with the London Ambulance Service, which he joined in 2001.

Annie joins London's Air Ambulance Charity from a similar role at Breast Cancer Now, following on from over 20 years working in the charity sector.
Her favourite parts of her role are leading a team and improving how the systems and processes can work harder to raise more money and support for the charity.
Annie has a husband, garden, daughter, and a cat, and enjoys eating out, lux hotels, camping, and binge-watching good TV.
James joined London's Air Ambulance Charity in March 2023 to support the smooth operation of Accounts Payables. Having achieved his accounting AAT level 3 qualification, he made a career change into the Charity sector. He is currently continuing his studies and enjoying working for an organisation making a difference to people’s lives.
