We are pleased to celebrate the first anniversary of support from The London Helicopter.

Thanks to the generosity of The London Helicopter customers over the past 12 months, together with a matched donation from the company, their support has enabled a contribution towards provision of equipment for the flight crew and fuel for several London’s Air Ambulance missions.  It has helped us to deliver an advanced trauma team to the 10million people that live and work in London, 24/7, every day of the year.

London Freemasons presented London’s Air Ambulance with a cheque for £500,000 at their Investiture Day.

The £500,000 is the final instalment of London Freemasons’ £2million pledge which enabled the charity to purchase a second helicopter for London.

London's Air Ambulance is now able to fly more days, longer hours, and take its advanced trauma care to more people across the capital thanks to London Freemasons’ support.

The crest of the City of London Corporation will be visible as we attend missions across London after it was unveiled on one of our aircraft at a ceremony on the helipad this week.

Our G-EHMS helicopter now displays the crest in acknowledgement of the City of London Corporation’s charity, City Bridge Trust, and their ongoing support of London’s Air Ambulance.

The City Bridge Trust is the charitable trust of the City of London Corporation. They provide grants totalling around £20m per year towards charitable activity benefitting Greater London.

The collection buckets from National Air Ambulance Week (19 - 25 September) have now all been emptied and counted and a staggering £13.301.53 has been raised.

Thank you to the hundreds of volunteers across London who fundraised tirelessly for us and did their utmost to help us raise awareness about the fact that we are a charity.

We are so grateful to everyone in London who donated for their generosity. Thank you also to all those who wore their pin badge to help us raise awareness of our cause.

A massive thank you to the 198 participants who were brave enough to take the plunge at our annual abseil last weekend. The fundraisers abseiled off the London’s Air Ambulance helipad — the highest in Europe — to support the charity. The 284ft high helipad sits on the top of The Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel.

The event was kicked off by ex-patient Clive Kraus who abseiled in tandem with our mascot Dr Ted.  Clive was injured in a workplace fall and was attended to by London’s Air Ambulance.

ERS, specialist motor insurer at Lloyds of London, has chosen to support our charity alongside Wales Air Ambulance.

We were selected to benefit following a vote among their over 650 employees.  For a minimum of three years ERS staff will run their own initiatives, and also support those organised by London’s Air Ambulance and Wales Air Ambulance to raise much-needed funds to support the work we do in our local communities.
